Advocates for the film will say "it's just a slow burn, you didn't get it". Hereditary is shit, it is a slow and boring movie. Rather than give you advice on whats good I'll give you advice on whats bad. I will gladly watch any genre of horror as long as the possibility of a pay off is there.īut simply writing off everything because I think too fucking highly of myself? I will gladly watch pretentious art house horror if there's a pay off. Written by a Jungian psychoanalyst - but still annoying as fuck. The Green Knight? Haven't seen it, but I have more background with the grail legends than most casual folk, and will more than likely dig the fuck out of it.

For me The Witch stands atop king shit mountain as far as boring as fuckness goes.īut to say that Hereditary is garbage is just stupid, like I think less of you for saying that. That said, I have a strong dislike for a good number of A24 movies. Those types are easily found on Netflix and the like, and are usually made more recently.

Mostly those are dramas with a few jumpscares strewn about in the first 3/4s that remind you that this movie is supposed to be a horror. The one thing I dislike is boring horror.
